YOUTH PROGRAMS
Part of the Coastside Community Orchestra's mission is to foster a love of classical music in young people. The orchestra offers annual scholarships to graduating seniors as well as school demonstrations to 4th and 5th graders.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Each year, CCO awards scholarships to local students to further their musical education. We also encourage young musicians to join us, thus experiencing the joy of playing orchestral repertoire, and making music with other musicians.
CLASSROOM INSTRUMENT DEMOS
CCO musicians attend local school assemblies to play and demonstrate their instruments for 4th and 5th graders just starting their instruments. We encourage students to be a good audience, ask questions and touch instruments, thus inspiring them to learn to play an instrument themselves.
COMMUNITY COLLABORATION
CCO musicians eagerly support other musical endeavors and fellow musicians of the Coastside community and beyond. We often donate our time to play in high school musicals, local theater productions and other local and Bay Area music events.
